Shane Da Costa is the founder of Freedom Academy and the architect of the training, certification, and placement model behind it.
Before building Freedom Academy, Shane founded Heart Smart Australia — a nationally recognised health brand with cardiologist Dr Ross Walker as a long-standing ambassador, and over $30 million in sales. That experience gave Shane a deep understanding of how to build high-trust brands, position complex offerings credibly, and bring a professional standard to industries that often lack one.
Shane identified a gap no training programme was filling. Career-driven professionals — capable, credentialed, and completely under-leveraged — had no structured pathway to performance-based income that combined real training, a defined certification standard, and an actual placement into a business already generating revenue.
Freedom Academy was built to fill that gap. The training, the standard, and the placement are all connected — and the person who built it is accountable for the outcome.
Shane leads all programme delivery, candidate assessment, partner business relationships, and ongoing coaching. He is the primary point of contact from first application through to placed and performing.

Pearl Da Costa spent 14 years at Goldman Sachs — one of the most demanding, high-stakes environments in the world. She excelled in it. And then she walked away from it.
Not because she couldn’t perform. Because she decided that a high-paying job at a prestigious institution wasn’t the same thing as a life well-lived.
Pearl has since studied emotional intelligence and life coaching, and now works with everyday people to help them build genuine self-worth, identify what matters most to them, and align how they live with what they actually want. She is not someone who theorised about resilience. She lived it for over a decade in one of the most competitive workplaces on earth — and came out with a clarity most people spend their whole lives searching for.
At Freedom Academy, Pearl works with members on the personal foundation that performance requires. The mindset. The identity. The self-belief that turns a skill into a career.
